Research Specialist

Hours: full time/permanent

Location: Pune, India


  • Bachelor’s degree – any discipline (minimum requirement)
  • Minimum 1 year experience of engaging in qualitative research in any sector
  • Experience in reading legal documents, laws, and statutes in any sector
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under strict deadlines

Key Characteristics/Skills required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – you must be able to communicate appropriately to staff at all levelsAn understanding and/or experience of the charity sector
  • An understanding and/or experience of the charity sector
  • Strong IT skills (Google, MS Office)

Main responsibilities

  • To gather information about laws, acts and tax policies related to not for profit organisations worldwide
  • To prepare up to date country specific reports based on the research undertaken
  • To maintain a system to ensure that the information held in our database is monitored, revised regularly and updated where necessary
  • To complete checks on organisations based on the researched data and add them to our database
  • To work collaboratively across the Indian and UK teams
